The Conflict and its Aftermath inSouth Serbia – Social and Ethnic Relations, Agency and Belonging in Presevo and Bujanovac

In academic year 2010-11 CFCCS conducted a conflict analysis research project about South Serbia. The research team was headed by Dr. Orli Fridman, Mr. Ian Bancroft, Dr. Jelena Tošić and Dr. Jana Bačević. With the participation of 6 students of the MA program in Conflict Studies at FMK/SIngidunum University: Ivana Bozic, Tajan Brkanovic, Jelena Nikolic, Jasmina Selmanovic, Ivana Stanojev and Maja Stojanovic.

Belgrade Study Visit with Professors from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem

On June 20-21 CFCCS hosted a Study Visit in Belgarde with three professors from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

On Monday June 20 we hosted at the Faculty of Media and Communications (FMK) a presentation by Dr. Nadera Shalhoub-Kevorkian and Dr. Daphna Golan from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem who spoke about life in Jerusalem, the challenges in the term education for peace currently in Israel, the responsibility of intellectuals and university professors in societies in conflict etc. They presented their research on the Campus-Community Partnership Program and engaged in an interesting exchange with the audience regarding similar questions and dilemmas in Serbia in higher education institutions.
